Our Team

If you’re new to therapy, here’s how we think about it: Therapy isn’t something that’s done to you. You’re an active part of the process! Although our therapists are the experts on mental health, you’re the expert on you. The relationship you form with your therapist is where the magic happens.

All of our therapists have a background in depression and anxiety, difficulties with relationships, as well as trauma and loss. Our House therapists have worked with children and adults of all ages, providing individual and family therapy. They each have their own specialties, and we’ll work with you to make sure you find the best fit.

Hannah Aron, LCPC (she/her)

- Founder, Therapist

Hannah enjoys working with young women struggling to find themselves and their place in this world. This includes self-esteem, processing relationships, and body image work. She engages with her clients in non-traditional ways — like jointly reading books about therapy concepts and discussing together, or discussing current events or pop culture in service of your end goal.

She can balance both the entire family as a unit and each person in the family as an individual, collaborating with you to address what’s most important to your family. She will work with you to address systemic issues in your life.

She lives in Belmont Cragin with her perfect pup, Teddy, and her favorite board game is Scattergories.

Stephanie McConville, PhD (she/they) - Founder, Therapist

Stephanie enjoys working with clients of all ages, though she has additional experience with clients going through various life changes such as becoming a teenager or the shift to adulthood. She focuses on many of the specific, tactical issues kids and young adults face, from managing anxiety to working on their relationships with others. She is able to help clients and families navigate different systems like schools and medical systems and has experience working with people who experience health issues.

Stephanie is growth-oriented with a background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), techniques that focus on recognizing the ways our thoughts impact us and changing our relationships with our thoughts.

Stephanie lives in Albany Park with her dog, Millie. She can't decide which board game is her favorite because she enjoys most games.

Maeghan Anderson, LCSW (she/they) - Founder, Therapist

Maeghan feels a strong connection with clients who feel they don’t quite fit into a box, whether that’s an individual or family. She enjoys working with LGBTQ+ folks, as well as people who are neurodivergent or have a disability. She partners with her clients to help them gain a better understanding of who they are and their place in the world. They are an extremely strong advocate.

They have a deep background in and love of group work. In a family context, Maeghan is supportive and validating of both the caregiver and the child experience. She works with all types of families, including those with grandparents taking on an active role, adopted or fostered children, and more.

Maeghan lives in Jefferson Park with her dog and two cats.

Michelle Hayes, LMFT (she/her/ella) - Therapist

Michelle feels great energy when working with families, whether it be adult siblings, parents & teens, children, couples, or the whole fam ready to do healing work together. As a BIPOC person and clinician, she enjoys working with folks on topics like exploring cultural identity, navigating inter-cultural/faith/racial relationships, intergenerational trauma, and finding one's power and voice.

Michelle strives to provide a connection, her skills, and a safe space that allows for her clients to do deep and vulnerable healing work, sometimes in laughter, often in community, and ultimately find strength in their relationships, and peace within themselves. Michelle highlights the hard work that is self-growth and tending to one’s mental health.

Michelle speaks English and Spanish, uses principles of mindfulness, stress-reduction, and takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to therapy.

She lives in South Loop with her husband and fur babies; her dog Luna and little cat, Techno. She has a knack for all things vintage, especially collecting antique cocktail glasses & barware.
